Viba Banana (Vietnam Banana) is grown from tissue-cultured pink banana variety, a specialty. Breeding and development by Viba in cooperation with the plant breeding center of the Central Institute of Vegetables and Fruits.

The pink banana variety is a native banana variety, a specialty of Vietnam. It is characterized by yellow flesh, firm fruit, and a sweet aroma that is superior to other Cavendish banana varieties.

Viba bananas are grown in valleys in the heart of the rolling hills and mountains that stretch across many communes and districts of Hoa Binh province. The characteristic of the northwest climate is that there are four distinct seasons in a year, the long and cold winters make the bananas grow longer and are firmer than bananas grown in hot and humid tropical climates.

Viba bananas are grown according to safe VietGap process, using a lot of organic fertilizer, fish protein, EM microorganisms, Trichoderma. Watered with a sprinkler system.

Cold-cured with biological Ethylene gas generator. The process was researched by the Post-harvest Department of the Central Institute of Vegetables and Fruits, so it is absolutely safe. Ethylene cold-cured technology has been used in developed countries for hundreds of years. Helps bananas ripen evenly, ensuring timely harvest.

Viba constantly strives to cooperate in investment, technical support and breeding with ethnic minorities in the province, ensuring stable income and jobs.

We hope that customers and business partners will join Viba in preserving and developing Vietnam’s native banana varieties. The red banana variety is a source of pride for Vietnam’s specialty agricultural products.
